Well, after a real long time, I am back with lots of paintings in stock! :) The first among those is the acrylics on canvas. The acrylic painting is of Maa Durga, means " the powerful". She is known to be fighting with demons and brings end to evil. Her victory is celebrated as Navratri for nine days.

Navratri festival is already going on and what could be better time then to paint the goddess of power, Durga Maa.

I made this acrylic painting of Gadariya a few weeks back but was unable to post. We met him on our way to Abhaneri. His photo for reference is below....

Gadariya or Shepherds are the people who earn their living by cattles.
This man had some personality and the attitude which attracted me to paint his portrait.

I was planning this for a long time and finally made it after much changes. The photograph of person selling Ektara was taken in Jaisalmer by my husband, Bhavesh. The actual photograph is given below...

I made few changes which can be seen in my completed painting.

The ektara was a regular string instrument of wandering bards and minstrels from India and is plucked with one finger.

The ektara usually has a stretched single string, an animal skin over a head (made of dried pumpkin/gourd, wood or coconut) and pole neck or split bamboo cane neck.(source: Wikipedia)

I has posted the Mughal king's work in progress. So finally the wait is over and I am publishing the completed work of the Mughal King.

Hello People!

I am back with new fun art and crafts (which I'll be posting soon!). I missed you all. Keep in touch to have a look to new art of mine.

Thanks!

I have been away for a while and was unable to post my few acrylic paintings. I have tried some different mediums and I am happy with results!
One of the art work is the Rajasthani man.

Any Rajasthani man you see is rich in culture. One can see them in colorful turbans, white dress and heavy mustache. Same is the thing, I have tried to portray in this painting. I hope you all will like this acrylic painting of a Rajasthani man.

This time, I thought of trying something really different from my style. So I tried my hands on just randomly drawing and coloring a piece on stretched canvas. Here is a full view to it..

I wanted my canvas to be really colorful. I thought of making some indian motifs with fish and bubbles. So, here it is. Do have a closeup look to it.

What do you say?

A different perspective of the design.

I hope you all will like this attempt of mine.

Madhubani painting is the one of the very beautiful form of Indian painting. It has its origin in Bihar(one of the states in India). These paintings are done on various mediums such as cloth, hand made paper and canvas. Madhubani paintings mostly depict the various elements in nature and Hindu religious motifs.

Here, I have depicted The Sun with the orange shade to depict its power and warmth.

The above photograph is the perspective of the Madhubani Sun Painting.

I hope you all will like it!

After such a long time, I am posting my latest work on Kali Maa. She is one of the powerful goddess in hindu deity. Kali Maa is considered as the goddess of time and change.

The name Kali comes from kāla, which means black, time, or death!

There is festival named
'Navratri' which celebrated in honour of Hindu goddess Maa Shakti Or Maa Durga. Nav' means 'nine' and 'ratri' means 'night'. Thus, 'Navratri' means 'nine nights'. In some communities, people undergo rigorous fasts during this season that lasts for the nine days of Navratri. It is celebrated four times a year.

I have made this Kali Maa painting in Navratri only..:) Below is the photograph of the flower border done to the painting.

A Close-up shot of Kali Maa, where you can see the anger in her eyes, and the jewelery
.

I hope you all will like this.

Below is my latest acrylic painting on canvas.

A close-up shot is taken to show details of the acrylic painting.

The painting is called "Phad Painting". Phad means "Cloth". It is basically made on Cloth.
Vibrant colours and bold lines, along with a two-dimensional treatment of figures, and the entire composition arranged in sections, are characteristic of these paintings.

Rajasthan, as I already told to my overseas friend, is the largest state of India. It is one of the most beautiful states of India which attracts very large number of domestic and foreign tourists. It is culturally rich and has artistic and cultural traditions which reflects the ancient Indian way of life.

Here are few shots of decorative wooden item which I purchased few years back. The below photograph is of Rajasthani decorative wooden center table, which has painting on it.

Rajasthan is a shoppers' paradise, with beautiful goods found at low prices. Handicraft items like wooden furniture and handicrafts, carpets, and blue pottery are some of the things commonly found here.

Below is again a beautiful wooden letter box and key holder. I loved it so much that I could not resist to purchase it. :)

Complete shot of it. It also has a beautiful and colorful painting.

Another attraction is a jewelery box on which gem stone painting is done with natural colors. The box has painting of a woman doing 'shringar' (make-up)for her husband.

What was unusual about this painting is that it is made with real precious/semi precious gem stones like Amethyst, Red Jasper, Red Adventurine, Sodalite, Garnet, Yellow Agate and Cornelian Agate.

Colors are the life of artist...isn't it? And I am sooooo happy and blessed to be born and raised in this colorful world...:)
