Finally, the Phad painting is complete. As you can see, I have used limited number of colors. Because originally, Phad painting is made up of vegetable colors, which are limited.

: Phad painting is a popular style of folk painting, practiced in Rajasthan state of India. This style of painting is traditionally done on a long piece of cloth, known as phad.
The narratives of the folk deities of Rajasthan, mostly of Pabuji and Devnarayan are depicted on the phads.The phads of Pabuji are normally about 15 feet in length, while the phads of Devnarayan are normally about 30 feet long. Traditionally the phads are painted with vegetable colors..

: Indian Marriage- Means lot of fun, tasty food, colorful outfits, dance, and lots of memories..:) Traditionally, the celebration of marriage starts before 10 days. It is actually those beautiful moments of life, which one wants to cherish..
Here I have posted one of the ceremonies i.e Saat fere
. It means both bride and groom has to take 7 rounds around fire (Agni) and have to pledge that they will be together forever! What a feeling it is! :)

Topic:Today is Mahashivratri.Mahashivaratri falls on the 13th day of the dark half of Phalgun. It means "the night of Shiva". All the prayers and rituals are performed at night. Shiva got married to Parvati on this auspicious day. Lord Shiva appeared in the form of a ling in front of Brahma and Vishnu on this day.Lord Shiva is known as the Lord of Destruction. He has three eyes and is said that when his third eye opens, the whole universe gets destroyed.

So, I just quick sketched this portrait of Lord Shiva. I hope you all will like it (though the scanning is not done properly...:()
