Lord Ganesha is my favorite subject to paint! He is also known as the Elephant God. In India, whatever the occasion may be, he is the first god to be prayed.....
I have written
"वक्रतुंड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभनिर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा"- The meaning of which is given below:
The Lord with the curved trunk and a mighty body, who has the magnificence of a Million suns, I pray to you Oh Lord, to remove the obstacles from all the actions I intend to perform.

: Another Painting of Indian Marriage. Here, the painting is about marriage procession which is called Barat Vidaai in Hindi. The groom leaves for the wedding venue riding a decorated horse or elephant. This is a very colorful and grand ceremony. This is considered to be the most emotional ritual, when the bride leaves her parents' home and makes her way to her husband's home.

: This is my another attempt of free hand Madhubani Painting. I am making it a colorful one. Till then, enjoy this Work in Progress.
P.S: Madhubani painting has been done traditionally by the women of villages around the present town of Madhubani (the literal meaning of which is forests of honey). The painting was traditionally done on freshly plastered mud wall of huts, but now it is also done on cloth, hand-made paper and canvas.(Source:wikipedia)
