Gosh Megha; I just love your colored pencil work. Always such bright colors with a sense of ceremony to each piece. Might I ask why his skin is blue? And what is used to pigment the skin in real life (assuming this is part of the ceremonial process)?
Hi Sherry, thank you so much for your quick comment as always! I should make this clear that this painting is not the part of the ceremonial process. But the painting is about the Lord Krishna and Radha.
There are many long stories and assumptions behind why his skin is blue. What I find is the color of his skin has to be blue like blue sky because the blue color indicates his all-pervasive nature, blue being the color of the infinite sky as well as the infinite ocean on which he resides.
Megha, you always create drawings with such historic and yet contemporary feelings. This is lovely, showing the Indian style and colors that are so wonderful. Excellent!!!
