Rajasthan is a land of rich culture and historical importance. It is also known as the land of warriors. The princely states of Rajasthan were ruled by Rajputs for so long that it is rightly known as the 'Land of Rajputs'.
Once ruled by Mughals, it has some impact on it regarding architecture and paintings.
Also, huge forts, majestic palaces, imposing havelis, opulent and highly revered temples are worth seeing. I am fortunate enough to be a part of that land.
Above shots are of my recent Rajasthani Painting of a Mughal Queen. I hope you all will like it.
Base: Canvas
Made Using: Acrylics

Hi Megha,
Awesome work. The color combination is too good. I loved it.I am regular followers of your blog.
Where do you get these designs. Can you please let me know the details/link

@ Sandhya: Thanks for your appreciation. I am glad that you liked my blog.
I do not get my designs from anywhere. Being an artist from India, and especially from Rajasthan, I have seen a lot of art around me. The place, culture, heritage, and history where I live is very inspirational to me. There is art all around us, what we need is a vision and creativity.

Megha, this is an incredibly beautiful painting. Perhaps, if I ever make it to India, I will be able to bring a piece, such as this, home with me. I have planned twice now to come and have had to cancel because of medical problems. I hope that you and Bhavesh will invite me for a cup of chai and the opportunity to see your art and photography!

Hey Carmen, Thanks for the kind words. I hope you will surely make this time. You will not only have a cup of chai but you can also stay with us. You are our special guest! :) You are most welcome to our country and city at any time.
Definitely you can see Bhavesh's photography and my art-work.

Oh, here she is, Megha. It was a queen, not a princess. I just love her...well, it's becoming a problem because I love so many of your pieces.
