Topic: From now on, I am starting few theme based paintings. This time the theme is "Classical Dances of India". The first one being "KATHAK".
Kathak is one of the eight forms of Indian Classical Dances, originated from northern India i.e from Uttar Pradesh(One of the states of India). The name Kathak is derived from the Sanskrit word katha meaning story, and katthaka in Sanskrit means she/he who tells a story, or to do with stories. It is danced by both men and women.

Topic: Lord Krishna is another of the most commonly worshiped deities in the Hindu faith. He is considered to be the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. There are many stories behind why he is of blue color. Some says that Krishna killed a five headed snake, that time he had taken all the poison of the snake. Thereafter his skin became blue due to the poison effect and some says that since he is the preserver of the world and creator has given most of the blue to the nature. So, his association with nature gives him this color.
Who knows the truth, but the fact is this blue color makes him different! :)
