Topic: Indian Marriage- Means lot of fun, tasty food, colorful outfits, dance, and lots of memories..:) Traditionally, the celebration of marriage starts before 10 days. It is actually those beautiful moments of life, which one wants to cherish..
Here I have posted one of the ceremonies i.e Saat fere. It means both bride and groom has to take 7 rounds around fire (Agni) and have to pledge that they will be together forever! What a feeling it is! :)
marriage is the beginning of a new life...and love the way you have depicted it...every time I visit your blog...I am filled with colors... simply love the way to draw...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Priya! Its good to read from you after such a long time! Stay connected! :)
ReplyDeleteMegha, another fabulous folk painting! Those wedding clothes are beautiful, both in their intricate details and in their colors. Being an oleo of all different nations here in the US, I can't think of a single tradition that stands out in the marriage ceremonies, at least not one that transcends time.
ReplyDeleteOh, I put my comment in the wrong post. I really love the colours of these drawings. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry for your comment! Here in India, Marriage is full of ceremonies. Do you know,it almost take 3-4 hours to complete this particular ceremony i.e Fere (Rounds around Agni)...?:)
