Free Hand Madhubani Painting
Base: Sketch Paper
Made Using:Black Fine Liner Pen
Topic: This is a free hand Madhubani Painting. I was keen to make Madhubani Painting and one day while sitting I just started and the result is in front of you all. These are usually colorful but I just wanted to do its outline.
P.S: Madhubani painting has been done traditionally by the women of villages around the present town of Madhubani (the literal meaning of which is forests of honey). The painting was traditionally done on freshly plastered mud wall of huts, but now it is also done on cloth, hand-made paper and canvas.(Source:wikipedia)
This is wonderful, Megha. I love that you've explained a bit of its origins too. You, Prabha, and Arti (the only artists I know from blogland) live in such a colorful culture. I love the meaning of the name too!
